For this salon in Mulund West, the brief was clear; create an environment that feels refined, welcoming, and effortless to maintain through a busy workday. Every design decision was guided by functionality without compromising on the experience of the client.

The planning stage revolved around circulation. From the waiting area to styling stations, wash units, and service zones, every movement was carefully mapped to ensure both clients and staff could navigate the space comfortably. Storage was seamlessly integrated into the design, allowing the salon to remain visually clean while supporting daily operations.

A restrained material palette, warm lighting, and subtle textures were chosen to let the services take centre stage rather than overwhelming the space with unnecessary elements. Mirrors were positioned to visually expand the interiors, while layered lighting was used to create accurate working conditions alongside a calm, inviting ambience.

Execution is where every drawing is put to the test. Site coordination, material selections, custom detailing, and constant on-site decisions transformed a concept on paper into a functioning salon. This reel captures that journey from an empty shell to a space that now welcomes people every day.
